Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.

Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and mechanical equipment in building or plant settings, including chilled water, hot water, and dehumidification systems.

Experience working with Direct Digital Controls ( DDC ), including basic calibration and programming, as well as using computer-based maintenance or energy management systems.

Interest in learning how building network layouts and BACnet addressing structures support HVAC control and monitoring.

Ability to follow guidance from senior technicians and work safely in confined or elevated spaces.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiar with manual and computerized operation of chillers, boilers, heat exchangers, and associated systems like chilled water, condenser water, steam, and feedwater.

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, especially when collaborating with team members or documenting work performed.

Familiar with programming and troubleshooting HVAC control sequences using graphical programming tools.

Experience with utility metering, electrical wiring, or reading prints/schematics.

Job Description

Responsible for calibrating and repairing instruments and equipment for their assigned department.

Job Duties

Work under direct supervision along with guidance from more senior technicians.

Assist and learn to perform routine service and maintenance tasks on building automation systems.

Install, calibrate, repair, and maintain the direct digital controls, programming, and electronics, for building equipment and plant equipment.

Learn how to identify and diagnose complex issues with building automation and controlled equipment.

Install, calibrate, repair, and maintain campus building and plant equipment devices required for energy efficient operation (Valves, Dampers, VFD’s, etc.).

Trouble shoot and repair faulty components, wiring and equipment to restore to optimal system performance.

Create and maintain written logs, reports, procedures, and documentation on work performed.

Gain experience operating thermal plants both manually and by computer console.

Learn building network layouts and addressing structures for BACnet communications.

Perform other duties as assigned.
