Pay Range:
Associate accountant position: $60,000 - $65,000 annually. Accountant position: $65,000 - $70,000 annually. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on performance.

Start your journey with us The P&C Accounting team has an immediate opening for a reinsurance accountant. This role is responsible for providing knowledge and experience in both assumed and ceded reinsurance accounting and managing IT projects within the department.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reinsurance ceded and assumed closings
Complete accounting, administration, and regulatory reporting of the reinsurance portfolio
Make decisions and recommendations for varied situations, applying judgment to interpret related information, policies, and procedures
Work with other internal and external organizations or parties frequently, which may include persuasion and negotiation skills
Ensure all tasks and project deadlines are met accordingly
Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
Ability to use basic accounting principles for financial statement preparation
Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks concurrently
Willingness and ability to learn and use accounting and analytical software systems
Ability to effectively use Microsoft® Excel
Good communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently or collaboratively without hesitation to ask questions
Demonstrate aptitude to lead and embrace change
Education and Experience Requirements
A bachelor's degree in accounting (required)
Two years or more of accounting experience or equivalent relevant work experience (preferred)
Experience with design and administration of Reinsurance Accounting Software, preferably SAP Operating system FSRI and FSCD (preferred)
