We are seeking a detail‑oriented and organized

Technical Records Specialist 1

to join the State of Idaho Department of Administration. This role supports internal operations, maintains records, and ensures compliance with public records and open meeting laws. The ideal candidate is customer focused, tech‑savvy, and capable of managing multiple administrative tasks with a high level of confidentiality. Key Responsibilities

Greet visitors and provide information and assistance. Answer and route telephone calls; take and deliver messages. Coordinate requests from agencies and internal divisions. Assist leadership with special projects and administrative tasks. Serve as back‑up webmaster. Use proprietary software and digital filing systems to complete work. Review and update website content as needed. Process daily mail. Administer Public Records Requests—including tracking, distribution, and closeout—to ensure compliance with public records statutes and confidentiality. Manage scheduling and logistics for meetings, including:

Posting notices in compliance with Open Meeting Laws. Compiling and distributing meeting materials.

Minimum Qualifications

Monitoring a records system to identify and correct errors. Researching a variety of sources to resolve problems. Interpreting, explaining, and applying regulations, laws, or complex policies to carry out assignments. Entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system. Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Public Records Request administration. Experience with website administration and content updates. Strong command of business English, spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Excellent customer service and public relations skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Please note: The successful candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint‑based background check.
