Overview

The Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering at IU Indianapolis invites applications for full-time Lecturer positions in the Department of Computer Science. We seek exceptional instructors with expertise in computer architecture, discrete computational structures, data structures, operating systems, database systems, systems analysis and design, software engineering, theory of computation, analysis of algorithms, programming languages, artificial intelligence, and computer networks and security. Appointments will begin January 1, 2026 (with flexibility for an earlier or later start by mutual agreement) at the IU Indianapolis campus. Review of applications will begin immediately; however, the positions will remain open until filled. Responsibilities

Teach assigned courses in graduate and undergraduate programs. Develop courses for traditional classroom settings, computer labs, and online education. Help set program and specialization goals; develop and continually update the curriculum and training activities. Contribute to recruitment and marketing of the program; interview, evaluate, and advise students. Engage in scholarly activity related to teaching; serve on campus, school, department and program committees. Maintain current knowledge and skills in the computer science profession through active participation in professional organizations, collaboration, practice, and research; serve on professional committees. Qualifications

M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related discipline. Applicants must complete their degree before the starting date of the appointment. Demonstrated ability to teach effectively in-person, online, and in blended learning for foundational courses in all areas of computer science. Application Materials
