We seek candidates with an understanding of the college mission and teaching experience in a comprehensive community college; a focus on student success in a learner-centered environment; and a willingness to use technology to support learning, including online instruction and assessment of student learning outcomes.
Overview Of Job Duties
Facilitate classroom instruction; teach assigned classes in accordance with the learning objectives.
Develop and maintain syllabus materials; evaluate student performance; maintain grades and enter midterm and final grades.
Respond promptly to student inquiries; maintain attendance records according to MVCC standards.
Integrate current and emerging instructional delivery technologies into the learning process.
Maintain professional standards that protect student confidentiality; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with discretion, patience, and courtesy.
Qualifications
Adjunct faculty members teach contracted classes in accordance with established policies and guidelines.
Courses may be taught in traditional classroom settings, virtually, or a combination.
Specific assignments will be made according to the academic qualifications and availability of the individual and the School needs.
Successful candidates must reside in New York State and have the ability to work on campus as required.
