Packer Inspector – 3rd Shift

Description Obtain empty cartons from conveyor or other sources. Prepare the carton to receive the “stack packed” or “tumble packed” product and place the cartons as necessary. Apply carton labels as defined in DPG Policy #002. Inspect bottles in accordance with DPG policy and the PQS form. Products are stack or tumble packed, and inspected based upon customer specifications and requirements. Remove full cartons from packing stand or from tumble pack area, then close the carton in accordance with DPG procedure and PQS sheet. Grind all clean scrap and rejected bottles generated by the machines for which they are responsible. Must be willing and able to work 3rd Shift (11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.).
Responsibilities
Obtain and arrange empty cartons for packing.
Apply labels and inspect bottles according to policy.
Close cartons and handle clean scrap and rejected bottles.
Perform duties during 3rd Shift (11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.).
Requirements
Basic mathematical skills (addition and subtraction).
Effective oral and written communication.
Ability to read and interpret product specifications and quality standards.
Strong decision-making ability.
Capacity to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
Vision correctable to 20/20 for reading materials and identifying product defects.
Hearing acuity sufficient to understand spoken instructions in a factory setting.
