What are we looking for: Nave Bank is seeking a hands‑on leader to own and enhance IRR/ALM framework, running the full second‑line program end‑to‑end. This role is responsible for policy ownership, limit setting and monitoring, NII/MVE modeling, stress testing (parallel and non‑parallel), assumption governance, and ALCO/Board reporting.

The ideal candidate will partner closely with Treasury while maintaining a strong independent challenge function, ensuring data and model integrity (Empyrean ALM), and translating complex risk insights into clear, actionable recommendations for ALCO and the Board.

What You’ll Do:

Develop, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for Market, Liquidity, IRR, and Capital risk management.

Manage the Bank’s ALM process, including balance sheet analysis, deposit trends, repricing gaps, duration, and income simulation.

Perform and interpret liquidity and IRR stress testing, sensitivity analysis, and scenario modeling aligned with the Bank’s risk appetite framework.

Coordinate with Treasury on liquidity management, funding planning, and investment portfolio analysis.

Monitor daily, monthly, and quarterly metrics for compliance with risk thresholds, limits, and triggers.

Prepare ALCO and Board ALCO packages, including commentary, metrics, and dashboards; serve as Secretary of ALCO.

Conduct dynamic income simulation and Market Value of Equity modeling based on strategic and budget assumptions.

Lead regulatory and audit interactions related to IRR, liquidity, market, and capital risk management.

Support the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer in developing capital projections, stress testing assumptions, and contingency funding plans.

Perform NII back testing (actual GL vs. modeled) with variance analysis; maintain remediation actions.

Provide challenge and oversight over Treasury’s investment activities, funding strategies, FTP methodology and balance sheet positioning within risk appetite.

Identify and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities for data gathering and reporting.

Other duties as assigned.

Comfortable working productively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment as well as independently. Able to interact well with many different areas within the Bank.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Deep knowledge of IRR, ALM, liquidity and market risk; superb quantitative and analytical skills; good communicator to senior audiences.

Proven experience with liquidity cash‑flow modeling and liquidity risk metrics (buffers, survival horizons, concentration measures) and challenge of first‑line funding strategies.

Familiarity with CFP governance and KRI/EWI frameworks.

Capable of communicating technical findings clearly to non-technical audiences.

Detail‑oriented with a structured approach to documentation and control.

Strong work ethic, accountability, and sense of ownership.

Collaborative, yet independent challenger of first line (Treasury, Finance, and Operations).

Organized, proactive, and able to handle multiple deliverables under regulatory deadlines.

Bachelor’s degree is required, with a major in Accounting, Finance or Economics (Finance preferred).

Master’s degree is optional in Accounting, Economics or Finance.

Minimum of 7 years of working experience in Finance within the Banking industry with at least 2 years leading everything related to ALM, IRR, Liquidity, Market matters.

Strong knowledge of balance sheet management, IRR metrics (EVE/NII), liquidity ratios (LCR, NSFR, internal), and stress testing.

Experience preparing ALCO reports and working with regulators and auditors.

Empyrean ALM (or similar) experience strongly preferred.

Advanced Excel, familiarity with FTP and capital stress testing.

The candidate must be based in Puerto Rico.
