About the Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of Australia's largest health system by joining the statewide

NSW Health Deployment Program

in the Central Resource Unit (CRU).

We are looking for a Social Worker to provide specialist social work service to consumers and their carers to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes consistent with NSW Health policies and procedures, standards, relevant legislation, and the NSW Health Code of Conduct. The position will also participate in professional development, clinical supervision, teaching, quality activities and other relevant departmental and administrative duties.

Where You'll Be Working The Social Worker workforce will be deployed to locations across NSW Health from anywhere between two to 13 weeks to support short-term staffing needs. You will have the flexibility to work for short periods of time, with the opportunity to stay longer and work across a variety of health settings when on deployment.

Targeted Questions

A Social Work degree which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). To be appointed as a Level 2 Health Professional evidence must be provided of three years' clinical experience.

Provide examples of your experience in a health‑related field and ability to provide a range of Social Work interventions.

Detail your ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team.

Provide examples of your understanding of, and commitment to quality processes, and the application of evidenced based practice within social work.

Current drivers’ licence with capacity and willingness to travel to NSW Health business and service locations throughout NSW which will include overnight stays in regional / remote areas. These deployments will make up the majority of your time in the position.
