Position Title
Wrestling Coach – 1st Assistant
Location Pittsgrove Township School District (Elmer, NJ)
Pay Range Base salary: $4,829 – $5,756 per year, dependent on experience.
Job Summary The Wrestling – 1st Assistant is responsible for various aspects of the wrestling program, such as recruiting within the school, attending all practices and matches, supervising athletes, training, coaching team members, and all other duties as assigned by the head coach. The assistant must abide by all NJSIAA rules and regulations as well as the rules and regulations set by the Pittsgrove School District and Schalick High School.
Responsibilities
Recruit and retain student‑athletes for the wrestling program.
Attend and coach during all practices and matches.
Supervise athletes and training sessions.
Train, mentor, and support team members.
Comply with NJSIAA rules, district policies, and school regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years of coaching experience at the high school level (preferred) or youth wrestling coaching experience.
Proficiency in coaching techniques, rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of wrestling.
Effective working relationships with school administrators, teachers, and student‑athletes.
60 college credits or a Substitute Teaching Certificate.
Current AED/CPR/First Aid and coaching certifications.
