Postdoctoral Fellow, River-Coastal Science and Engineering – Hydroclimatology

The Department of River‑Coastal Science and Engineering at Tulane University, New Orleans, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scientist position in Hydroclimatology.

**Start Date:** Between May 1 and September 30, 2022 (one‑year appointment, possible renewal). **Salary:** $74,000.00 – $83,641.00 (annual, US$).

Job Focus The successful candidate will investigate hydroclimatic variability under climate change, focusing on changes in the seasonality, generation mechanism, intensity, and intermittency of precipitation in the southeastern United States. Emphasis will be on land‑atmosphere interactions and the link among vegetation, climate, and precipitation.

**Collaborations** The candidate will build strong research links with the Departments of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and the ByWater Institute at Tulane.
