About This Job The Housekeeping Inspector is responsible for cleaning guest rooms and inspecting rooms and public areas to ensure quality standards are met. This position supports the training and development of housekeepers and housemen, promotes departmental cleanliness and productivity goals, ensures availability of supplies, and maintains a safe and organized work environment. The Housekeeping Inspector plays a key role in achieving high levels of employee and guest satisfaction.
What You'll Be Doing
Provide direction and support to Housekeepers and Housemen, ensuring the department runs smoothly and efficiently.
Oversee day‑to‑day operations to maintain service and cleanliness standards.
Inspect guest rooms and public spaces to ensure cleanliness, brand standard adherence, and overall guest satisfaction.
Assist in developing and implementing innovative promotional and sales events.
Ensure a clean and safe working environment, emphasizing employee health and safety.
Assist in training colleagues in proper safety techniques.
Lead department orientation and training of new staff, following up to ensure company and brand standards are met.
Use effective leadership to motivate and encourage team members toward guest satisfaction.
Resolve issues as they arise to promote department stability.
Clean guest rooms when necessary.
Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, and pivot frequently.
Ability to lift, lower, and maneuver up to 30 pounds; push/pull up to 150 pounds.
Experience as a housekeeper or houseman preferred.
