Front Desk Receptionist - part time weekends/evenings needed
Santa Cruz Post Acute is hiring a part‑time receptionist. Two scheduling options are available: Saturday & Sunday, or daily 5‑9 PM.
General Purpose Attend to and greet visitors, answer telephone calls, and perform limited clerical duties in the Reception/Administrative area. This position has no clinical involvement or duties.
Essential Duties
Provide general administrative and clerical support.
Greet and welcome patients, clients, and other visitors with a friendly and positive demeanor.
Answer telephone calls, take messages, or forward calls.
Check visitors in and direct or escort them to specific destinations.
Inform other employees of visitors' arrivals and cancellations.
Maintain visitor sign‑in log.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail.
Schedule appointments and maintain meeting room bookings.
Keep the reception area tidy.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Agree not to disclose resident protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations to the Administrator.
Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information, including protected health information, and report any unauthorized disclosures.
Supervisory Requirements This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualification
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous administrative or receptionist experience preferred.
Strong language skills: ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
Mathematical skills: application of fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning ability: solve practical problems with limited standardization.
Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule instructions.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, clerical functions, and multiline phone system.
Physical Demands The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds, use a desktop or laptop computer, and frequently use office equipment such as copier, scanner, fax, telephone, and calculator. No travel required.
Work Environment The noise level is typically low to moderate.
