Job Summary

The Entry-Level Lineman assists Journeyman Lineman and Foreman while gaining training and experience in the field. You will play a crucial role in the construction and maintenance of poles, power lines, and related equipment to ensure reliable electricity transmission and distribution. This position is a great opportunity to learn from experienced linemen and collaborate with a dedicated team.

Responsibilities
  • Understand and execute switching procedures to isolate and insulate underground power lines.
  • Splice and terminate underground power lines according to established protocols.
  • Set up and work on underground transformers and related devices.
  • Properly phase and mark or tag underground equipment.
  • Engage in hands-on work with energized lines under supervision.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the foreman and lineman team.
Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred:

  • 2 or more years of experience in the field.
  • OSHA 10 Certification.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position operates primarily in a field environment. Expect to engage in physical activities such as bending, climbing, kneeling, and lifting in all types of weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and wind. Employees must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and possess good vision for distance and color recognition.
