About The Position

Submission hard stops - Can only submit to 1 WVU position at a time. Must double check pulse to make sure candidate is not already submitted - Please do not submit any local travelers. We will not accept travelers that live within 50 miles of the facility. - We will not allow any traveler to go past the 1 year mark with the system, and this includes whether it s with 1 facility or between multiple facilities. - Once a traveler hits their 1 year mark and they end, they cannot return until they have been gone for 2 years. - Any prior employee of WVU Medicine cannot come in through an agency until they have been gone from our system for 2 years - Will not accept candidates with license hits Unit: Cath lab Tech - # Suites/labs: 2 - #cases per day on average: 10-May - Required Certifications: BLS and AART - Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Diagnostic left and right heart caths, PCI, IABP, Temporary pacemaker, - Job Duties: Rad Techs scrub and assist physician, need to know sterile technique. RNs circulate, sedate, and complete documentation requirements. - Experience: Prior Cath Lab or Rad Tech experience. First time traveler okay with good experience. One year of experience. - EMR/Equipment: Siemens software and equipment - Cardiologist hours/on call: On Call 24-7 - Manager/Charge Nurse: Director, Coordinator and a Charge Nurse - Cath Lab Techs: Yes, Rad Techs - Shifts & Scheduling: Five days per week, start and stop times are subject to the number of cases scheduled and the times they are scheduled. - Weeknight/Call Requirement: One week of on call per four week schedule. Monday 7 AM to following Monday at 7 Am. For that week. Call can be 7 days in a row or broken up throughout the schedule. Any hours off the clock, they are on call. - Weekend/Call Requirement: Friday after hours until Monday Morning0700 (if they are not doing the Monday- Monday call time.) - Holiday/Call Requirement : Rotational - Is there a mandatory call/standby requirement?: Yes, Rad Techs. - What is call response time?: 30 minutes - Floating Requirements: No- if extra hours wanted, there are units they can go to if they have experience. - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Surgical attire- provided. - Unit/Department specific orientation: General hospital orientation.
