As part of this dynamic and innovative team, you'll work alongside experts in software, hardware, and network engineering, supply chain management, security, and operations. The Engineering Operations Technician is a critical hands-on role responsible for troubleshooting and operating essential mechanical and electrical equipment within data centers. You'll handle a variety of systems, including diesel generators, electrical switchboards, UPS systems, and more. Your role will involve providing 24/7 shift coverage in a continuously evolving environment. Key Responsibilities: Operate and maintain essential data center infrastructure, including mechanical and electrical systems. Troubleshoot and resolve facility-level events efficiently within defined SLAs. Perform preventive maintenance tasks including filter changes and system installations. Assure all safety protocols are strictly followed during operations. Work collaboratively with Data Center Operations teams to support ongoing initiatives. Document maintenance activities and keep logs of equipment status and performance metrics. Engage in root cause analysis following equipment failures to improve reliability and performance. Supervise external contractors performing maintenance service as needed. Respond to on-call emergencies as part of a scheduled rotation. What You Bring: A minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience on electrical or mechanical equipment. Valid US Government Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility. Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS and EPMS). Preferred Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field. Experience in data center operations or similar mission-critical environments. Knowledge of network design and low voltage cabling.
