SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for mixing raw materials to produce finished products according to batch sheets and company standards. This role involves operating and monitoring mixing equipment, ensuring product quality, and maintaining compliance with safety and operational procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Use company-issued iPad to manage, track, and complete assigned tasks.
  • Complete all assigned work within designated timeframes.
  • Set up, operate, and monitor mixing tanks, vessels, and mixers.
  • Mix raw materials into finished products in accordance with batch sheets.
  • Transfer finished products into drums, totes, or other containers to fulfill orders.
  • Load and unload bulk tanker trucks, including completing operational checklists and performing weight-to-volume conversions.
  • Prepare chemical containers for filling, ensuring compliance with company requirements.
  • Return chemicals to inventory and ensure containers are properly labeled and cleaned.
  • Submit finished product samples to the laboratory for approval.
  • Monitor batch temperatures requiring heating or cooling.
  • Verify raw chemical usage for each batch, ensuring correct unit of measure.
  • Move chemicals within the plant and yard using forklifts.
  • Operate equipment including mixers, scales, meters, and pumps.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork and batch documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment to prevent contamination or hazards.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist other Manufacturing Technicians as needed.
  • Report issues promptly to Supervisor.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a blending, mixing, or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written and oral instructions including safety rules, SOPs, batch recipes, and material identification.
  • Strong mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and unit conversions).
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to safely lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds, including handling empty 55-gallon drums.
  • Ability to work weekends and overtime as required.
  • Ability to work in variable environmental conditions (e.g., heat, cold, weather exposure).
  • Frequent standing, climbing, bending, and lifting (approximately 95% of the workday spent on feet).
