Onamia Academy Behavior Interventionist
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Onamia Academy School is seeking a dynamic and highly energetic Behavior Interventionist.
Primary Responsibilities include the following:
Working with students needing additional assistance to be successful behaviorally in a classroom or other school setting Supporting and training both certified and noncertified staff in developing District wide behavior intervention training District wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) planning and implementation Behavioral data collection and analysis and District wide training for use and implementation Supporting students by building relationships and teaching skills that will support positive behaviors Communicate with staff and students regarding students' needs and behavioral progress Daily behavior management and intervention duties at Mille Lacs Academy School Program Candidate Qualities:
Effective communicator Thoughtful decision maker Passionate about working with high need students Motivating and positive with students Role models positivity Knowledgeable about working with students with mental health needs Onamia Academy School is a care and treatment setting placed in a residential treatment facility for young males and is a public school as part of the Onamia School District. The Onamia School District is located along the south shore of beautiful Lake Mille Lacs and is one and a half hours north of Minneapolis on Highway 169.
Onamia School District qualifies for student loan reduction programs.

REQUIREMENTS:
Previous experience working with high need behaviors required. Four-year degree preferred, but not required.
