As a Senior Network Engineer , you will serve as the technical lead for designing, implementing, and securing enterprise-level network infrastructure. This role involves architecting resilient, scalable, and mission-ready network solutions supporting modern communications, data transport, and operational technology systems vital to base operations. You will lead efforts to integrate switching, routing, firewall, and wireless systems into both legacy and next-generation environments, ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, network performance standards, and evolving mission needs.
Position will be located at Buckley SFB. This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.

Responsibilities
Major Job Activities: Senior role requiring multi-disciplinary network experience across wired, wireless, and mobile broadband solutions. Understand requirements, create designs, and develop network topology artifacts to meet or exceed connectivity, availability, reliability, and security SLAs. Lead the development of designs, plans, policies, and implementations of data networks based on customer performance criteria and specifications. Conduct site surveys and network assessments to determine optimal hardware and software components for upgrades, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and security. Lead the development of preliminary and final SPRIP documents. Ensure installations adhere to safety standards and site conditions, including site restoration. Provide Post-Deployment Over-the-Shoulder-Training to the O&M team for smooth network system transitions. Design and implement routing policies and load balancing solutions using BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP protocols. Create cyber artifacts such as topology/data flow diagrams, hardware/software lists, STIG checklists, ports/protocols/services documentation, and POA&Ms. Design and implement secure networks, systems, and application architectures. Support network management tools like SNMP, SYSLOG, and orchestration platforms. Create LOM documentation capturing all major components and installation materials for successful deployment. Prepare or contribute to deliverables and performance metrics. Ensure network solutions comply with DAF policies and integrate with established IT systems. Coordinate with local Communication Squadron and cybersecurity teams for deployment activities. Assist in troubleshooting network issues post-deployment. Resolve technical issues related to networks, hardware, and software, applying expertise to complex work assignments. Material & Equipment: Proficient with MS Office Suite and AutoCAD. Working Environment: Office setting with potential to support austere locations. Physical Activities: Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs. Qualifications
Education / Certifications: Technical BA/BS Degree or High School Diploma or Associate Degree. CCNP or equivalent. CompTIA Security+ Experience / Skills: 7 years with BA/BS Degree or Minimum of 9 years of experience as a Network Engineer for large, complex programs/systems with a High School or Associate Degree. Clearance Requirement: This position requires an active DoD Secret (Tier 3) clearance. Skills & Technology: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and client interaction.
