SUMMARY The Director of Supply Chain reports to the Vice President of Supply Chain. This person is responsible for the strategic leadership and operational oversight of all supply chain functions, including procurement, planning, inventory management, logistics, and supplier development. This position partners with internal stakeholders across the organization to align supply chain initiatives with business objectives, ensure continuity of supply, and drive performance improvements. The Director will play a crucial role in developing scalable systems and processes to support the organization's growth and operational efficiency. In addition, the Director will contribute to broader enterprise improvement efforts by advancing operational standardization, enabling cross-functional alignment, and delivering measurable supply chain outcomes that support company-wide goals. RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the supply chain strategy to support corporate goals related to cost, quality, service, and risk mitigation. Lead cross-functional initiatives to optimize supply chain operations and enhance collaboration across departments. Identify and respond to internal and external trends impacting supply chain performance. Procurement and Supplier Management: Oversee sourcing strategy and execution for all direct and indirect materials. Lead supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management. Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to support quality, delivery, and innovation targets. Ensure adherence to ethical sourcing and regulatory compliance. Planning, Inventory, and Fulfillment: Direct demand planning and inventory management processes to ensure accurate forecasts and optimized inventory levels. Establish and monitor stocking strategies and service level targets. Partner with production and commercial teams to align supply plans with business demand. Monitor and report on inventory turnover, obsolescence, and fulfillment performance. Operations and Systems: Champion the use of ERP and supply chain systems to enable real-time visibility and data-driven decision-making. Epicor experience preferred. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or Six Sigma principles. Define and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement, planning, and logistics to ensure effective operations. Collaborate with IT and Finance to implement system enhancements and process automation. Team Leadership and Development: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing supply chain team. Establish clear goals, monitor performance, and support professional development. Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field required. Master’s degree or MBA preferred. APICS, Six Sigma, or other supply chain certification preferred. Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive supply chain leadership experience in a manufacturing or OEM environment. Demonstrated success leading multifunctional supply chain teams and delivering measurable improvements. Strong background in supplier relationship management, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiations. Experience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred) and advanced proficiency in Excel and BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
