Cybersecurity Systems Engineer (CSSE)
supporting the
Sentinel program
based out of
Roy, UT . Other locations include Annapolis Junction, MD, San Antonio, TX, Redondo Beach, CA, Huntsville, AL, San Diego, CA, and Colorado Springs, CO. A Cybersecurity Systems Engineer (CSSE) ensures cyber survivability attributes are implemented in system designs by assessing cybersecurity requirements and guiding security architecture and protections. Responsibilities include evaluating implementations, supporting verification efforts, and guiding security governance and risk management. As a Cyber Systems Engineer, your responsibilities include: Providing technical guidance within the Cybersecurity Engineering Group Collaborating with program systems engineers across teams Supporting development and enhancement of Launch and Missile Defense systems Ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards such as CNSSI 1253, DoD 8570, DoD 8510, and AFI 17-101 Proposing system architecture changes and providing cybersecurity guidance Participating in technical reviews and cybersecurity assessments Supporting program milestones and metrics related to cybersecurity Researching and solving complex cybersecurity problems in an Agile, DevSecOps environment Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related STEM field or 4 years of applicable experience Experience with NIST 800-160 and system development lifecycle Experience with system requirements, architecture, design, and testing Supporting RMF assessment and authorization artifacts U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret and Top Secret clearance and SAP access Possession or ability to obtain IASAE II certification (CISSP preferred) Preferred Qualifications: IASAE level III certification (ISSEP, ISSAP) Top Secret/SCI clearance with SAP briefing experience Experience with Software Assurance, MBSE tools, and containerized software systems Experience with cybersecurity accreditation in a Digital Engineering Environment Excellent communication and collaboration skills Salary Range: $70,300 - $105,500. Additional benefits include potential bonuses, health insurance, paid holidays, and PTO. The application period is approximately 20 days from posting, subject to change.
