GCP Cloud Security Engineer

Our client is seeking a GCP Cloud Security Engineer to join their team. As a GCP Cloud Security Engineer, you will be part of the Cloud Security Engineering team supporting various initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and excellent collaboration abilities. Job Title: GCP Cloud Security Engineer Location: Hybrid - 3 days onsite in Sunrise, FL; Atlanta, GA; Phoenix, AZ; Salt Lake City, UT; Silicon Valley - Palo Alto, CA; NYC (Remote options available) Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and manage security policies and procedures for GCP environments to ensure compliance and industry best practices. Utilize Terraform Sentinel to create and enforce policy-as-code, ensuring Infrastructure as Code adheres to security requirements. Design and implement security controls to protect cloud-based applications and data. Conduct regular security assessments and scans to identify and mitigate risks. Certify public cloud provider services and define configuration standards before wider organizational usage. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud security engineering, focusing on GCP. Strong understanding of GCP services and security best practices. Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., CIS, NIST, ISO 27001). Knowledge of network security, IAM, and encryption. What's in it for you?
