The Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Virginia is seeking candidates for an
Open Rank
(Assistant, Associate, Professor) faculty position to join a team of experienced Gastroenterology physicians at the University Medical Center. Rank and tenure status depend on qualifications.
The successful candidate will have a commitment to
clinical care and scholarly activity . Responsibilities include managing patients in clinic, performing routine endoscopic procedures, attending on the inpatient GI consult service, participating in clinical research, and assisting with teaching fellows and residents.
This position may be eligible for future conversion to a
tenure-track
position, in accordance with UVA policies, SOM guidelines, and candidate qualifications.
Qualifications:
MD or equivalent degree
Board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the start date
