Job Description This Senior Developer will work at a global hotel chain on multiple projects requiring ongoing development. The team supports three main areas: Group Sales, Luxury Travel Program, and Corporate Discounts. The role involves approximately 70% back-end development and 30% front-end development. The current framework includes Java Spring Boot for the backend, and the frontend uses Angular and React, with some rewrites using Next.js. Expert-level skills in Angular and React are required, while experience with Next.js is a plus. Responsibilities include: Implementing and maintaining scalable full-stack applications using modern Java and JavaScript frameworks. Building and integrating microservices, RESTful APIs, and backend components with Spring Boot and Java. Designing and managing relational databases and data structures (SQL and JSON). Developing responsive front-end features with React, Angular, or Next.js. Ensuring clean, maintainable, and secure code with optimal performance. Participating in code reviews, system design sessions, and agile sprint planning. Using GitLab and Docker for CI/CD workflows, containerization, and deployment. Collaborating with product managers and UX designers via tools like Jira and Confluence. Providing troubleshooting, debugging, and support across the stack. Skills and Requirements At least 4 years of hands-on experience in full-stack application and product development. At least 2 years of experience developing microservices, RESTful APIs, and system integrations. Strong backend focus (~70%) with skills in Java, Spring Boot, Caching, Kafka, JPA, Logging. Proficiency in relational and JSON databases, including SQL. Frontend development experience (~40%) with React, Angular, or Next.js. Familiarity with DevOps tools such as GitLab, Docker, and Gradle; CI/CD experience is essential. Experience with Jira and Confluence for documentation and project management. Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in Agile environments.
