PLASTICS Process Engineer – Blow Molding – Remote Salary: $105,000 - $115,000 + Excellent Benefits & REMOTE w/ Travel This PLASTICS Process Engineer position requires a candidate who will provide technical expertise in instructing and guiding others on setup, mold & tooling installation on blow molding – extrusion machines such as Uniloy reciprocating, Bekum shuttles with multi-layer co-extrusion, Sidel SB0 model, and SIPA SX1 & SX2 2 Stage. The role involves making recommendations on tooling size, design, and shape, supporting production with cycle time improvements, utilizing LEAN Manufacturing, statistics, SPC, Six Sigma, 5S, problem solving, and root cause analysis. The engineer will implement preventative maintenance procedures, work closely with the design team, and provide process engineering guidance on mold design and machine setup. Repairing and replacing pneumatic and hydraulic components is a plus. Minimum requirements for this PLASTICS Blow Molding Process Engineer position: Technical, AAS, or BS degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience Minimum 5 years of experience with SIPA SX1 & SX2 2-stage machines, producing 5-gallon PET water bottles Experience with 2-stage processes (Sipa, Sidel, FlexBlow, Krones) and Uniloy & HDPE Understanding of PET processes and anti-stat/slip agents is a plus.
