CTG is seeking to fill a Robot Programmer opening for our client in Columbus, OH. Location:

Columbus, OH Duration:

4 months Duties: Participate in the design and development of automated manufacturing cells and lines

Setup and commission robotic cells, including single/multiple robots, robot transfer units, linear slides, and seventh-axis equipment

Collaborate with automation engineers on the design of End-of-Arm Tools

Perform robotic simulations using brand-specific software such as RoboGuide

Develop preliminary programs from simulations and execute Teach Pendant programming on the shop floor

Assist in system start-up and commissioning at the customer site

Ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met for all robotic programming responsibilities

Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and budgets

Support procurement activities by entering data into the MRP system for robot-related components

Prepare technical documentation and reports

Skills: Proficiency in robot programming and commissioning, especially with Fanuc robots

Experience with additional platforms such as ABB, Kuka, or Motoman/Yaskawa is a plus

Ability to interpret and work with complex mechanical designs and standards

Familiarity with robotic material handling systems, integrated vision systems, and safety protocols

Basic PLC knowledge preferred

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Proficiency in engineering-level technical writing

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Willingness and ability to travel

Must be eligible to work in the USA and Canada

Experience: Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in robot programming, commissioning, and deployment

Background in automated machine design, including integration of press concepts, EOTs, and robotics

Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment

Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field (Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, or similar Engineering Technology disciplines) Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
