A Metal Casting Operator/Foundry Worker is responsible for performing various tasks in a foundry setting to produce metal castings. This role involves operating machinery, monitoring production processes, and ensuring the quality of finished products. Foundry Workers must adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities: Operate foundry equipment such as furnaces, molds, ladles, and pouring devices. Monitor temperature, pressure, and other variables to control the casting process. Prepare molds by assembling, coating, and positioning them for pouring. Pour molten metal into molds according to production requirements. Remove finished castings from molds, using tools such as hammers, chisels, and grinders. Inspect castings for defects, such as cracks or surface imperfections, and make necessary adjustments. Clean and maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety. Follow safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines. Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities produced and any issues encountered.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a foundry or manufacturing environment preferred. Knowledge of foundry processes and equipment. Ability to read and interpret work instructions and blueprints. Strong attention to detail and quality standards. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Willingness to follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies.
