Position: CI Cyber Analyst
Location: Springfield, VA OR St. Louis, MO
At the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), protecting national security doesn’t just happen on the front lines, it happens behind the screen.
As a Counterintelligence Cyber Analyst, you’ll be part of a trusted team defending critical intelligence systems from insider threats, foreign adversaries, and cyber intrusion. You’ll analyze network data, identify anomalies, and translate technical findings into actionable insights to protect sensitive missions in the U.S. Government.
Your daily tasks include supporting cyber threat investigations, malware analysis, writing intelligence briefs, and collaborating with forensic analysts, CI investigators, and SOC teams across NGA. You will interpret digital breadcrumbs to understand threats and recommend mitigation strategies. This role requires discretion, analytical skills, and a mission-first mindset suitable for a national security environment.

Requirements
Active TS/SCI clearance
Minimum of 7 years of experience in network analysis, including investigation of network activity and threat detection
Ability to identify, interpret, and analyze network artifacts for cyber threat investigations
Experience analyzing network logs, intrusion alerts, or endpoint telemetry using tools like Splunk, ArcSight, Wireshark, or Elastic Security
Experience conducting cyber counterintelligence or insider threat investigations with clear reporting for leadership
Willingness to obtain DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Level III certification within 12 months
