As a Controller, you'll play a pivotal role in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance for a company that values precision, innovation, and excellence. This contract assignment presents an opportunity to showcase your expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Responsibilities of the Controller: Financial Statement Management: Oversee the financial statement close process, including month-end, quarterly, and year-end activities, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, supporting public filings (10-Q, 10-K) and management presentations.
Account Reconciliation: Review and approve account reconciliations for compliance with GAAP.
Journal Entry Review: Ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation of journal entries.
Financial Analysis: Conduct flux analysis and review departmental reports monthly and quarterly.
Internal Controls: Design, implement, and maintain SOX-compliant internal control processes.
General Ledger Management: Manage the General Ledger system (currently QAD), including the Chart of Accounts.
What We're Looking For in a Controller: Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Experience: 8+ years in senior-level accounting roles
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and Word
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and SOX 404 compliance
Credentials: CPA license required, with at least 2 years of public accounting experience
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
