Our prestigious law firm is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with a strong background in personal injury litigation. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex and challenging cases, providing critical support to our team of seasoned attorneys. With at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, the candidate will be well-versed in all aspects of the litigation process and will be ready to hit the ground running in our fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Paralegal, you will be expected to:
1. Conduct legal research and present findings in a clear and concise manner. 2. Assist attorneys in hearing and trial preparation, including drafting pleadings, discovery requests, and responses. 3. Manage and organize case files, ensuring all relevant information is easily accessible and up-to-date. 4. Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials alongside attorneys. 5. Maintain a detailed calendar of all case-related deadlines and ensure all are met in a timely manner. 6. Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel, acting as a liaison between all parties. 7. Draft and file legal documents, including motions, briefs, and affidavits.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate for the Litigation Paralegal position will have:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in personal injury litigation or related practice area 2. A Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent education/experience. 3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 4. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. 5. Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite. 6. A detail-oriented approach, with the ability to spot potential issues before they arise. 7. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 8. Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
