DIRECT HIRE LOCATION Northern California - Within 1.5 hr travel time to San Francisco or Sacramento, CA FIELD JOB DETAILS Majority Local Travel : Primarily within the local area with occasional overnight stays nationwide based on business needs and training opportunities.
Reimbursements : Mileage reimbursement, car allowance, and cell phone allowance provided. Tools provided by company. Any overnight travel is reimbursed.

Job Description The Battery Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, servicing, and replacing batteries and chargers for use with UPS, DC power plants, and related equipment with or without supervision. The technician is expected to comply with project deadlines and standards, maintain quality customer service, and avoid service interruptions.
Specific Duties Provides field service and technical assistance to customers in the installation, removal, testing, start-up, maintenance, and modifications of batteries and chargers
Review test data from current and historical battery test results to determine failures and generate reports
Maintain asset detail information related to battery systems within a database management system
Provides accurate and timely reporting of job schedules, project completion, and expense reports.
Coordinates job scheduling in conjunction with material availability
Abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions, and safety rules
Job Requirements Knowledge of all aspects of service relating to DC power and battery installation for specific projects as assigned
Installation/service experience encompassing DC power and related equipment, material coordination, site layout, troubleshooting, revenue enhancement, customer relations, and safety management within the DC power industry
Working knowledge of electrical testing and diagnostic equipment
Availability for daily travel and periodic overnight assignments
Ability to run and/or supervise projects of minimal complexity utilizing experienced contracted labor
Ability to work without direct supervision
Ability to use hands to grasp or handle various types of equipment and tools on a regular basis
Ability to lift and/or move 50+ lbs.
Ability to speak and understand English
Strong vision abilities relating to depth perception and focus adjustments
License to operate a motor vehicle
Educational Background Technical graduate of a two-year accredited technical school in an engineering/technical field
OR Two to three years of technician experience in related DC power field or industry
Pay Range 60,000 - 80,000 USD per year (San Francisco)
