About The Position
Anesthesiologist - Locum Opportunity
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Start Date: ASAP ongoing
Shift: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM | 2-3 days/month (1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesday or Thursday)
Overview
A vascular center in Philadelphia is seeking board-certified anesthesiologists for part-time locum coverage. Providers must be comfortable working independently in a paper charting environment and performing nerve blocks for vascular patients. The role involves cardiovascular cases and MAC sedation in a low-volume setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department
- Provide medical management of patients undergoing procedures requiring anesthesia
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments
- Obtain and verify patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients
- Perform induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitor patients' physiological condition throughout procedures
- Provide clinical interventions as needed
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine
- ECFMG and FLEX certification
- Completion of an approved residency in Anesthesia
- Current physician license
- Board certification required
- No additional certifications required
