About The Position

Anesthesiologist - Locum Opportunity
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Start Date: ASAP ongoing
Shift: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM | 2-3 days/month (1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesday or Thursday)

Overview

A vascular center in Philadelphia is seeking board-certified anesthesiologists for part-time locum coverage. Providers must be comfortable working independently in a paper charting environment and performing nerve blocks for vascular patients. The role involves cardiovascular cases and MAC sedation in a low-volume setting.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department
  • Provide medical management of patients undergoing procedures requiring anesthesia
  • Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments
  • Obtain and verify patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients
  • Perform induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitor patients' physiological condition throughout procedures
  • Provide clinical interventions as needed
Requirements
  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • ECFMG and FLEX certification
  • Completion of an approved residency in Anesthesia
  • Current physician license
  • Board certification required
  • No additional certifications required
