Responsibilities
Assessment and re-assessments
Development of the plan of care
Implementation of appropriate patient care interventions
Evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions
Supervises and coordinates other licensed and non-licensed personnel in the provision of care to patients as assigned
Provides guidance and mentorship to non-licensed personnel and students, as appropriate
The Staff Registered Nurse assumes responsibility for the management and delivery of patient care utilizing the nursing process. May be required to float to other units and participate in on-call status. The position requires population-specific competencies and adherence to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate for the level of patient contact.
Reports to the appropriate manager, director, or vice president.
Mental Health staff must be able to assist with the physical restraint of patients, utilizing the identified Behavior Management Technique System.
Physical demands and respiratory fit test requirements may vary. Potential exposure to infections, communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, chemicals. Must follow standard precautions.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
RN (Registered Nurse) licensure in the State of Oklahoma or current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member state
BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 30 days of hire — Hospice only: Current CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association required in lieu of BLS
Other certifications and competencies required based on service line skill
Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
Additional requirements based on service line:
Hospice and Employee Health: Valid driver’s license in the state of employment, dependable transportation, proof of current automobile liability insurance.
INTEGRIS Mental Health: Must operate an INTEGRIS-owned vehicle or personal vehicle, current Oklahoma State driver’s license, acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
Hospice only: CHPN (Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse)
