The Opportunity The right Corporate Controller will report directly to a seasoned Chief Accounting Officer and supervise accounting from a bank‑holding‑company perspective. The role involves overseeing GAAP, SEC reporting, SOX, and technical accounting for the bank. You will supervise a dedicated Assistant Controller and bring expertise in strategy, reporting, controls, policy, SOX, and mentoring to build a high‑performing team.
What We Are Looking For In A Candidate
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
6–8 years of public accounting experience in the financial services arena
6–8 additional years of industry‑specific banking experience
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, accounting policy, SEC reporting, SOX, acquisition accounting, and month‑end close
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills; ability to build consensus and make difficult decisions
Proven track record of staying power and attention to detail
Capability to develop cohesive, high‑performing teams and infrastructure for future growth
Rewards The role offers a base salary above market, a solid bonus program, and equity components (TBD). You will work closely with a coaching Chief Accounting Officer and have a direct impact on the organization’s future success.
