What You Can Expect:

In this role, you will lead our European Purchasing Team located primarily in Cracow, PL with some other colleagues in their remote locations. You’ll partner with internal and external senior stakeholders to align and ensure timely contract renewals, managing RFQs process as well as orders placing in own and clients ERP systems.

About The Team:

Our Global OneSource Procurement team is a critical enabler of our clients’ success in their Medical Lab asset management. We are a diverse, collaborative, and forward‑thinking team with expertise across both PtP processes, vendor management, supplier performance, and contract negotiations. We work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Legal, IT and Operations, to support OneSource business objectives and create competitive advantage in LIS management area.

Role Description

Manage and support EUR Purchasing Team (10 members) in RFQs, first-line vendor negotiations, PO Creation and Tracking, to ensure timely contract renewals

Support sourcing, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract management for Service Third Party Vendors

Identify opportunities to increase the value proposition of the P2P process

Identify P2P process opportunities to improve, automate and standardize business transactions within EUR as well as globally

Create strategy & input for the standard process design for all relevant elements, i.e. Processes, Policies & Procedures, Master Data, (Risks and) Controls, Solutions, Organizational Structures and KPIs

Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration with a continuous improvement mindset. Act as a mentor to foster employee growth and development

Oversee the purchasing operations function, including PO lifecycle, invoice resolution and compliance

Role Requirements

Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects with changing priorities and deadlines

5+ years of progressive purchasing experience and proven track record in managing remote teams

Deep expertise in managing E2E purchasing processes in complex, large-scale business environments

Strong leadership skills with the ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent in a regional / global, remote team

Pharmaceutical industry & knowledge of large-scale Lab Services contract renewals preferred

Demonstrated high level of work ethic and organizational skills

Excellent advanced Excel skills

Experience in SAP practical knowledge; SAP Business Objects & Spotfire reporting tools preferred

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Project management / Lean / Six Sigma experience will be a strong advantage

Ability to build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to properly understand business needs and deliver solutions which will enable our clients’ timely Lab assets contract renewals
