Principal Propel ITD Business Process Analyst – Inventory Planning
About the Team The Enterprise Business & Technology Modernization group leads PG&E’s Propel Program—an enterprise-wide SAP S/4HANA transformation focused on modernizing business processes across Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Finance, HR, and IT. This team partners cross-functionally to standardize processes, enhance data quality, and implement innovative digital solutions that support PG&E’s long‑term strategy. Position Summary The Principal Propel ITD Business Process Analyst plays a key leadership role in the Inventory-to-Delivery (ITD) transformation workstream. This position will drive SAP S/4HANA and Advanced Planning solutions, lead materials planning and supply chain process design, and guide cross-functional teams through the Propel modernization lifecycle. The role is highly collaborative, requiring deep subject‑matter expertise in supply chain planning, MRP, forecasting, and S&OP. Key Responsibilities Serve as SAP Materials Planning subject matter expert for ITD workstream Lead design, implementation, configuration, and deployment of S/4HANA and Advanced Planning tools Facilitate cross‑functional workshops to develop integrated planning processes Validate business requirements, regulatory needs, and future‑state process design Mentor peers and support organizational change management for future‑state processes Identify and resolve complex business process gaps and dependencies Provide strategic input to leadership on process design and modernization roadmap Lead major cross‑functional initiatives and support end‑user training and adoption Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field — or equivalent experience 8+ years
relevant experience in supply chain planning / inventory management Experience with SAP materials planning and Advanced Planning systems Proven ability to lead cross‑functional projects and workshops Preferred Qualifications MBA or advanced degree APICS CPIM certification Utility industry experience Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills Experience driving large‑scale process transformation and change management Work Model Hybrid – Oakland HQ (split remote & onsite based on business needs) Seniority Level Executive Employment Type Full‑time Job Function Business Development Industries Utilities
