Job Description Summary
Post Sales support of customer issue. This can include repairs (both returns and field), technical support or a field service or other service request. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).
Roles and Responsibilities
Own the resolution of post-sales technical customer issues. Level 1,2,3 Technical Support – Resolves post sales Technical Issues.
Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline, analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; aware of competition and differentiators.
Uses some judgment and has ability to propose solutions outside parameters to address complicated manufacturing processes.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with low risks.
The following will be the main technical areas of focus and competence for support:
GE Control Systems (Mark VIe/MarkVI)
Operation knowledge of GE Gas turbine and steam turbine
Knowledge on HMI software like Cimplicity (added advantage)
The following will be secondary technical areas of focus and competence for support:
GE Excitation system (EX2100e/EX2100) and static stater system (LS2100e/ LS2100)
GE OTArmor
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in engineering field or other technical area and 2 years in generator or turbine controls OR high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in generator or turbine controls.
Desired Characteristics
Power generation experience.
Experience with GE Control System products.
Power Plant Controls Troubleshooting & Technical Support Experience.
Experience working with global teams and previous global responsibilities.
Proficiency with computer tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.).
Demonstrated ability to proactively identify challenges, resolve effectively, and deliver results.
Effective decision-making skills that lead to long term customer & business success.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to coach/mentor effectively.
Strong agent of change with focus on executing efficiently in a complex, diverse and dynamic cross‑functional global matrix organization.
Demonstrated ability to drive solutions in a matrix organization and partner with a global network of stakeholders to deliver results.
Proven track record of delivering results and leading teams in a dynamic business environment.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $86,700.00 and $144,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: ineligible.
