Vascular Neurologist – Open Rank Assistant, Associate or Professor

Job Summary The Department of Neurology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks an academic Vascular Neurologist to join our Neurovascular Section. Faculty rank will be at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor depending on qualifications. Neurovascular clinical experience is strongly preferred, and experience in clinical research and/or quality‑improvement methodology is also desired.
Job Responsibilities
Teach, conduct research, and provide clinical service, including leadership and administrative duties as required by the Section Chief.
Primary clinical assignments: Telestroke and inpatient stroke service lines, one‑week rotations, with approximately twenty weeks of service per year for a 1.0 FTE faculty member. Duties include night call and outpatient clinic, plus supervision of fellows, residents, and medical students.
Participate in the Section’s and Department’s educational conferences, research, and scholarly activities. Attend meetings and events as required.
Engage in administrative activities such as data entry, quality‑improvement projects, committee work, and other tasks aligned with the Section and Department missions.
Work Location Onsite – Aurora, Colorado.

MD or DO
Board‑certified or eligible for board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)
Unrestricted medical license in Colorado, Nebraska, and Wyoming; active DEA registration
Eligibility for unrestricted medical licenses in other states (e.g., for telestroke)
As Associate Professor
MD or DO
Board‑certified or eligible for ABPN certification
Unrestricted Colorado, Nebraska, and Wyoming medical license; active DEA registration
Eligibility for unrestricted licenses in additional states for virtual services
Scholarly record consistent with Associate Professor appointment
As Professor
MD or DO
Board‑certified or eligible for ABPN certification
Unrestricted Colorado, Nebraska, and Wyoming medical license; active DEA registration
Eligibility for unrestricted licenses in additional states for telestroke
Scholarly record consistent with Professor appointment
Preferred Qualifications
Neurovascular fellowship training and/or neurovascular clinical expertise
Experience in clinical research and/or quality‑improvement initiatives
Fellowship training in an area of Neurology
Additional specialty or subspecialty board certifications or eligibility
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Assistant Professor: $305,000 – $312,000
