The HT Group has recently partnered with a growing investment management firm located in Downtown Houston in the search for a qualified
Portfolio Analyst
who will play a pivotal role in supporting the investment and financial planning process for a sophisticated, ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) and high-net-worth (HNW) client base. This individual will work alongside senior advisors, portfolio managers, and planners to deliver data-driven insights, exceptional client service, and world-class portfolio management execution.
Location Downtown Houston, TX (Onsite)
Compensation $120,000 – $140,000 base + Discretionary bonus
Schedule Full-time, Monday–Friday (extended hours during close cycles)
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management & Analysis
Monitor client portfolios for performance, allocation drift, risk exposure, and rebalancing opportunities.
Prepare in-depth portfolio performance reports and investment summaries for client meetings.
Conduct quantitative and qualitative research across equities, fixed income, alternatives, and private investments.
Support the team in trade execution, rebalancing, and cash-flow analysis.
Client Support & Reporting
Partner with advisors to translate investment results and financial concepts into clear, client-friendly materials.
Maintain and update client investment policy statements (IPS) and assist in financial plan implementation.
Develop and deliver quarterly and ad-hoc reports for UHNW clients with precision and confidentiality.
Research & Strategy
Contribute to asset allocation discussions and provide data-backed recommendations.
Support due diligence on managers, ETFs, funds, and alternative investments.
Stay current on market trends, macroeconomic developments, and investment products.
Collaboration & Execution Excellence
Coordinate with internal operations, trading, and compliance teams to ensure timely, accurate execution.
Contribute to process improvements and help streamline portfolio review workflows.
Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality in all client interactions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field (MBA preferred).
3+ years of experience in investment management, portfolio analysis, or wealth planning.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in Excel, Morningstar, Bloomberg, or similar platforms.
Familiarity with financial planning tools.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to simplify complex investment concepts for clients.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance, team-oriented environment.
