Global Event Manager, Supervising Associate

Your Key Responsibilities
Consult with meeting sponsor and/or requester to understand logistical requirements of the event.
Conduct venue research in conjunction with our preferred meeting management companies and make recommendations on meeting location based on a detailed brief.
Comply with and promote the firm Supply Chain Services policy.
Actively promote the overall objectives of the Travel, Meetings & Events Services team by supporting our overall strategy with every interaction with stakeholders.
Manage elements of delegate management using our firm tool, Cvent.
Consult with the event program manager to ensure EY brand compliance throughout the event and pre- and post‑event communication process.
Drive cost efficiencies and negotiate with venues and suppliers, ensuring all value‑adds have been reviewed and exhausted.
Prepare the initial event logistics budget and manage it throughout the event lifecycle.
Prepare on‑site schedules and run sheets for event logistics for venues and suppliers.
Coordinate with Technology Support to arrange special event production and on‑site technology.
Audit and submit for approval any program‑related invoices and provide full event reconciliation.
Serve as the main point of contact on‑site for all suppliers, ensuring that all suppliers provide the agreed level of service and actively resolve any issues.
Take overall responsibility for the delegation and direction of the on‑site support team, adjusting planning where necessary.
Assist in other areas of Meeting & Event Services as needed.
Support and devise ideas/best practices to the M&E team to drive process efficiencies and contribute creativity on special M&E projects.
Use M&E Guidelines and Procedures to make recommendations to internal clients regarding location and logistics for events of various sizes.
May recommend solutions and provide guidance to other Event Managers and meeting requestors regarding specific aspects of large events or initiatives.
Anticipate client questions and be prepared when dealing with internal clients.
Skills And Attributes For Success
Minimum five to seven years of event management experience.
Proficiency with all Microsoft Office Tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Cvent is desired.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to communicate clearly and authentically with senior leadership and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
Ideally, you’ll also have
In‑depth knowledge and experience of running large, logistically complex global events.
Good venue knowledge across the US.
Knowledge of meeting‑industry software, including web registration applications such as Cvent.
