Epicor Eclipse Development Manager

Epicor Eclipse Development Manager
to drive modernization, integrations, and developer best practices across a multi-instance Eclipse environment. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role, perfect for someone who lives and breathes Eclipse, EDI, APIs and scalable enterprise solutions. Why this role matters You'll shape the future of a fast-moving, acquisition-driven organization with thousands of users and dozens of locations. Lead a talented team, reduce technical debt, and deliver high-value integrations (EDI, ecommerce, shipping) that directly impact operations and revenue. This is a rare chance to be both a technical leader and a strategic partner to business stakeholders. What you'll do (Daily / Core responsibilities)
Own the Eclipse development lifecycle: design, build, test, document, and deploy custom apps, reports, and enhancements. Lead and mentor developers and EDI specialists; set coding standards and release best practices. Manage integrations with third-party systems (EDI, middleware, APIs, ecommerce platforms, e.g., Boomi). Leverage Eclipse Extensibility Framework, event-driven development, code injection, and UD screens. Troubleshoot performance, ensure system reliability, and drive removal of obsolete customizations in favor of "closer to core" solutions. Coordinate upgrades, module rollouts, testing, and end-user training across instances. Maintain robust documentation and ensure data integrity across modules and integrations. Partner with IT, operations, finance, and sales to prioritize work and align technical initiatives with business goals. Manage multiple concurrent projects with clear plans, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication. Required qualifications
5+ years working with
Epicor Eclipse
(Solar & eTerm); hands-on experience with Eclipse Basic / UniBasic programming. Demonstrated leadership/people management experience (mentoring or leading dev teams). Deep knowledge of EDI processes, REST APIs, middleware and integration patterns. Strong understanding of ERP architecture, schemas, and enterprise integrations. Excellent communication skills - able to translate technical tradeoffs to business stakeholders. Willingness to travel as needed; must be available in EST/CST time zones. Nice-to-haves
Experience with middleware platforms (e.g., Boomi) and cloud tooling (Azure). Background in wholesale distribution, multi-site rollouts, or large-scale acquisitions. Familiarity with database platforms, performance tuning, and automation/test frameworks. Project management experience (Agile or equivalent). Perks & culture
Competitive base pay plus profit-share and company retirement contribution. Generous PTO (negotiable for senior candidates) and multiple paid holidays.
