K-12 Robotics Education Specialist Location: 350 Church Street, 10th Floor, Hartford, CT 06103

Salary: $60,000–$75,000 (commensurate with experience)

Employment type: Full-time

Join us to design and deliver high‑impact robotics education across Connecticut, shaping curriculum, supporting educators, and building connections between schools and employers.

Responsibilities

Curriculum Design & Integration:

Design, adapt, and enhance robotics curricula (e.g. FIRST and VEX) for K‑12 classrooms; create integrated modules connecting automation, coding, and 3D modeling to real‑world careers in advanced manufacturing, engineering, and technology.

Educator Support & Training:

Lead high‑quality professional learning experiences, including workshops and ongoing coaching to ensure strong program implementation; build educator capacity to confidently deliver robotics instruction that inspires curiosity and career exploration.

Program Implementation & Evaluation:

Oversee and evaluate curriculum integration pilots across multiple districts each year, measuring engagement and long‑term outcomes; collect and analyze feedback and performance data to continuously refine content and instructional strategies.

Qualifications

Demonstrates experience developing K‑12 STEM or robotics curriculum that integrates hands‑on, industry‑relevant skills and technologies.

Can design multi‑modal, standards‑aligned lesson plans that engage diverse learners.

Excels at facilitating professional learning, from teacher workshops to “train‑the‑trainer” sessions.

Is proficient with educational technology, robotics platforms, and coding tools (experience with FIRST or VEX robotics programs is preferred).

Uses data to drive improvement, adjusting curriculum and implementation based on participation and outcomes.

Has strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and follow‑through.

Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and industry partners.

Brings experience as a classroom teacher or instructional coach (preferred, not required).

Additional Requirements

Must be able to travel independently across the state of Connecticut, often driving long distances to schools, worksites, and partner events.

Frequent standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and crouching required during events and program activities.

Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds of materials or equipment.

Consistent operation of computers, office equipment, and presentation technology (e.g. projector, copy machine, printer).

Moderate to long periods of standing and sitting.
