Mercury Marine is a world leading manufacturer of marine propulsion systems within the Brunswick Corporation. We are seeking a Process Engineer Lead for our Plant 17 aluminum foundry to drive continuous improvement, lead our die casting operations and supervise a team of Process Technicians. Position Overview

The Die Cast Process Engineer Lead is a critical engineering leader with direct responsibility for the die casting process, equipment selection, process control analytics and supervisory leadership of Process Technicians. Essential Functions

Team player who works and communicates across multiple departments and shifts within the plant. Supervisory leadership for salaried Process Technicians across all three shifts (6 employees total, 2 on each shift). Troubleshooting responsibilities for die casting machines and the die casting process. Engagement in specifying and selecting new die casting machines and process equipment associated with the die casting process (spray, ladle, extraction, thermal, etc). Collaborate with engineering to develop and optimize processes for new parts and tools launched into production. Lead process control efforts and process optimization to identify and define process parameters while minimizing adjustments made once approved. Establish if a die casting quality issue is due to tooling, setup, and/or machine problems using available test equipment and deductive reasoning. Provide feedback and improvement ideas to tooling, simulation, and product design groups. Work with quality department on findings of X‑Ray and dimensional results to reduce and eliminate quality concerns. Provide guidance to maintenance personnel on unusual machine problems affecting the die casting process. Introduce and refine new die casting methods and procedures to keep Mercury at the leading edge of die cast technology. Complete data analysis to ensure process control. Responsibility for creating and maintaining proper process documentation. Communicate and interface with engineering to ensure long‑term improvements and root cause corrective actions are completed. Required Qualifications

Desire to be “hands on” at the shop‑floor level within a foundry environment. Ability to produce results independently and within groups/teams. Knowledge of high pressure die casting and finishing operations. Great communication and interpersonal skills with a proven record to effectively participate in a cross‑functional team. Successful project management and time management skills. Ability to excel in an extremely dynamic and constantly changing manufacturing environment. Leadership and supervisory experience for technical trade positions. Willingness to apply computer technology to track and improve the die casting process. Working knowledge of hydraulics and robotics. Preferred Skills And Experience

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Will consider 15+ years of direct die casting experience in a similar role without a formal engineering degree. Ideally, 5+ years in a die casting foundry. Proficiency in MS Office software including Teams, Excel, and Planner. Ideally, experience with data analytics and reporting tools like SQL and Power BI. Ideally, experience with ABB robots (setting points, adjusting programs, etc). Team player who thrives in a foundry environment. Understanding of CMM and other dimensional reporting. Understanding of machining processes on castings. Ability to read, review, and analyze process data to help troubleshoot processes. Compensation

The anticipated pay range for this position is $84,500 – $136,100 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job‑related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Benefits
