Field Logistics Specialist – Intermountain Health
Intermountain Health is seeking a Field Logistics Specialist to manage inventory and supply distribution for assigned departments or clinical programs. The role ensures that medical products, linens, and equipment are adequately stocked, ready for clinical use, and that inventory processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Base Pay Range $18.00/hr – $23.00/hr
Schedule: Full‑time, Days Hours: 40 per week 1 weekend shift, no on‑call or rotational expectations
Essential Functions
Perform inventory control on stock and non‑stock items, set par levels, and adjust to trends; keep supplies organized and properly binned.
Act as liaison between Supply Chain and assigned department, facility, or clinical program.
Order and deliver supplies using appropriate technology, systems, and suppliers.
Communicate supply‑level information, new products, standardization, and implementation to department staff; troubleshoot issues for resolution.
Manage Par Location, PIRS Replenishment, Location Maintenance, Delivery, Label maintenance, and Kanban visuals.
Monitor quantity‑on‑hand issues, reconcile discrepancies, and resolve any shortages.
Utilize the SCIS system to ensure distribution, inventory, receiving, departmental files, and reports are managed per auditing, accounting, and regulatory standards.
Ensure compliance with policies and standard operating procedures.
Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports for assigned locations.

Required Qualifications
Six months of related Materials Management experience.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Clear understanding and use of English for instructions and customer communications.
Experience with basic word processing, spreadsheets, internet, e‑mail, and scheduling applications.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and dependability.
Ability to visually inspect boxes, packing slips, and reports.
Proficiency with pallet jack and other material handling equipment (hand truck, carts).
Experience in a role working with healthcare supplies.
Preferred Qualifications
One year of healthcare‑related distribution experience.
Physical Requirements
Ongoing ability to see and read information, labels, monitors, and identify equipment and supplies.
Frequent verbal communication with patient care providers, patients, and visitors.
Manual dexterity for manipulating delicate equipment, typing, and using office equipment.
Ability to bend, lift, and carry patient files, documents, equipment, and supplies.
Capacity to remain sitting or standing for long periods while interacting with others or performing computer work.
