Job Description Summary
ADJUNCT – BIOLOGY: The purpose of this position is to teach assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need, and maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community. Courses may include online courses and/or dual‑credit/early college classes.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s of Science degree in the Biological Sciences **AND** 18 graduate hours in courses with an emphasis in Biology.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and abilities in teaching discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
Successful college teaching experience utilizing instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources and other appropriate media in instruction.

Job Duties
Make continuous efforts to advance the quality of instruction.
Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students who have differing educational and experiential backgrounds in meeting the course outcomes.
Maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community.
Maintain safe and secure laboratories with an emphasis in safety in all laboratory courses taught.
Assist in maintaining inventory of supplies, specimens, and equipment.
Perform other related duties within the department as assigned.
