Compunnel Inc. is hiring a Guidewire ClaimCenter Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to configure, manage, and optimize the Guidewire ClaimCenter module, covering the entire claims lifecycle from first notice of loss (FNOL) to claims resolution.
The BSA will gather requirements, design business processes, and ensure system functionality aligns with business needs and regulatory standards.
Base Pay Range $60.00/hr - $65.00/hr
Responsibilities
Work closely with business users such as claims adjusters, claims managers, legal teams, and other stakeholders to understand their requirements for handling claims.
Document and translate business needs into functional specifications, including use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria that align with Guidewire ClaimCenter’s capabilities.
Collaborate with technical teams to configure the platform, setting up claims workflows, intake processes, lifecycle stages, and integrations with other systems.
Configure and customize ClaimCenter to support all stages of the claims lifecycle – FNOL, investigation, adjuster assignments, settlement, subrogation, and closure.
Define business rules and workflows in ClaimCenter, automating tasks such as claims routing, approval hierarchies, and task assignments.
Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Facilitate discussions, manage expectations, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
Ensure smooth collaboration between business and technical teams.
Work with Quality Assurance to align test strategy and plans with business requirements, coordinate UAT and post-implementation validation.
Provide post-implementation support including troubleshooting, communicating impacts to users, managing enhancements, and driving continuous improvements.
Lead initiatives to upgrade or enhance the Guidewire InsuranceSuite as new versions or features become available.
Support the management of business changes, ensuring effective communication and user adoption.
Qualifications
7‑10 years experience as a senior IT business systems analyst for Guidewire ClaimCenter Cloud implementations.
Strong background in P&C insurance processes, Guidewire products, and their implementation, configuration, and customization.
Ability to lead strategy and requirement discussions and produce precise requirement documents.
Strong communication, negotiation, documentation, organizational, and planning skills.
Ability to influence decision‑making with a focus on business outcomes.
Strong problem‑solving skills with individual ownership and accountability.
Experience with MS Office Suite and Agile Scrum methodology using tools such as JIRA/DevOps.
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Preferred Qualifications
Current certification in Guidewire Cloud for Analysts (Certified Ace preferred).
Experience leading large‑scale Guidewire implementations, including multi‑phased projects.
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards within the P&C insurance industry.
