Avondayle is a jewelry and accessories private label wholesale company. Our main accounts are Free People, Urban, TJMaxx, Torrid, Tilly's and Boot Barn. We work with overseas suppliers to develop new and exciting product for our customers. We specialize in jewelry, hair, handbags and belts. We pride ourselves on staying on top of the latest trends and translating those trends to fit each customers needs.
Role Description This is contract position for a Jewelry & Accessories CAD Designer, located in Los Angeles or Orange County. Although this is a remote position, we would like our designer to meet up with the LA based merchandiser/sale reps overseeing this position twice a month to brainstorm ideas and review product in person. The Jewelry CAD Designer will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate CAD designs using photoshop or illustrator based off trend packets provided by the merchandising team. Additional responsibilities include preparing spec sheets for designs you create, linesheets of current product, collaborating with the product development and sales team on new trends, and ensuring designs meet production requirements and specifications. The role involves strict attention to detail to produce intricate jewelry designs to the highest standard in a timely manner. Ideally, we are looking for 20-30 hours a week.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
Experience with Technical Drawing and general Drawing skills
Ability to create linesheets and make color changes quickly to meet customer needs
Strong attention to detail and an eye for design aesthetics
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Experience in the jewelry industry or a related field is preferred
Bachelor's degree in Jewelry Design, Engineering, or a related field is advantageous
