POSITION OVERVIEW Responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of enterprise IT infrastructure across both cloud and on-premises environments. Bringing strong technical expertise, this role supports system administration, troubleshooting, automation, and project delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft Azure, modern networking technologies such as SASE (including SD‑WAN and ZTNA), virtualization, and enterprise Windows environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Deploy and manage Azure services (VMs, storage, networking, security, automation). Implement and manage hybrid identity solutions including Azure AD Connect. Drive automation and streamline infrastructure management through scripting, orchestration, and automation tools.

Implement and manage software‑defined networking and secure access service edge (SASE) solutions, including ZTNA, SD‑WAN, and FWaaS (Palo Alto Prisma Access experience preferred). Collaborate with the security team to ensure compliance and secure architecture across cloud and on‑premises platforms. Manage firewalls, high‑availability architectures, and core network protocols.

Design, implement, and maintain enterprise systems including Windows Servers, Active Directory, storage, and virtualization platforms. Manage enterprise storage environments (SAN/NAS). Oversee system upgrades, patching, backups, and disaster recovery testing.

Monitor and analyze system performance, availability, and capacity. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure‑related incidents and service requests. Participate in 24/7 on‑call rotation for critical system support. Maintain IT asset inventory and lifecycle management.

Lead or contribute to IT projects, providing technical guidance and coordination. Develop and maintain documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures. Mentor junior IT staff and provide technical training as needed. Manage vendor relationships and third‑party service providers.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

5+ years of hands‑on experience in IT systems administration, with strong expertise in cloud platforms, virtualization, and modern infrastructure.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure (VMs, networking, storage, security, automation) and hybrid identity solutions including Azure AD Connect.

Experience supporting migrations of services and applications to Azure (e.g., during consolidation or acquisitions) preferred.

Proven expertise with Windows Server environments (physical, virtual, and cloud) including Active Directory, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.

Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper‑V) and enterprise storage technologies (SAN/NAS).

Knowledge of backup/disaster recovery solutions and IT security principles including compliance requirements and firewall management.

Knowledge of core networking protocols (IPv4), routing, switching, and high‑availability designs.

Experience with monitoring and management platforms (Azure Monitor, PRTG, or similar) and configuration/systems management tools (e.g., SCCM).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY This role will not require any direct supervisory responsibility. The person in this role will be asked to lead or manage projects and project teams.
