Responsibilities

Develop and maintain accurate electrical design drawings and models to support project goals.

Use 2D and 3D design tools to create layouts, schematics, and documentation in accordance with standards and project requirements.

Collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, constructible, and code‑compliant designs.

Manage drawing revisions, support design reviews, and adhere to established workflows.

Stay current with industry practices and design technologies to support continuous improvement and project success.

Contribute to design concept development, verification, and documentation set completion.

Maintain organized records of design files, revisions, and supporting documentation.

Participate in design reviews, incorporate feedback from engineering leads or project managers, and mentor junior designers or drafters.

Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and clients to resolve design issues.

Qualifications

Proficiency in 2D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical) and 3D modeling tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP, SolidWorks Electrical, EPLAN, or Inventor).

Familiarity with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and cable routing.

Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE, CSA) is a plus.

Ability to generate accurate bills of materials (BOM), reports, and documentation.

Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in an industrial, commercial, or construction environment.

Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., mechanical, structural, and civil designers).

Experience interpreting electrical control systems and single‑line diagrams.

Permanent resident of the USA.
