Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Staff Accountant to join our client's growing finance team. In this role, you will support core accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with monthly and annual close processes. This position is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is looking to grow within a dynamic organization.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and record journal entries in accordance with GAAP
Post daily cash activity to the general ledger
Prepare and post weekly payroll journal entries
Reconcile general ledger accounts including bank, payroll, prepaid, and accrual accounts
Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
Manage leased asset records and related amortization schedules
Support month-end and year-end close processes and prepare supporting schedules
Assist with annual audit requests and provide necessary documentation
Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial controls
Recommend and support process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency
Perform other accounting and finance tasks as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
1–3 years
of accounting experience (public or corporate) preferred
Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
Experience with account reconciliations, audits, or financial reporting a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar) strongly preferred
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Typical office environment; occasional time in warehouse environment may occur
Frequent sitting, typing, and computer use
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally
