The position will be responsible for assisting the financial and portfolio performance team in managing and analyzing the loan and investment portfolio.
Responsibilities
Enter loan and investment trades into firm systems and mark positions as needed
Coordinate with Operations Department on client account setup and AML
Support transaction officers with due diligence, financial analysis, maintain project files, and transaction closings
Work with Technology and other groups within the firm to assist in automation of reporting
Assist with regular loan and investment portfolio and impact reporting
Collaborate with management on regulatory exams, internal compliance reviews and other audit related requests
Maintain policy and procedure documentation
Provide analytic, operating and administrative support to transaction officers, with a focus on affordable housing construction lending products
Skills Required
Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint
Detail‑oriented with strong analytical skills
Comfortable handling large datasets using databases
Comprehensive and logical
Team player with strong communication skills
Prior experience in Tableau reporting preferred
Experience
2 years of relevant work experience, preferably at a regulated bank, Community Development Financial Intermediary, or other similar institution
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or other business‑related field is preferred

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $58,000 and $115,000 per year at commencement of employment. Base pay will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long‑term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
